  • XANGA

     

    I went to Google and found John Hiler the Chief Executive Officer of Xanga. His office is in New York, which we know already. There is a phone number also. I called him yesterday to see what was going on and what we the bloggers can expect. Caorlyn (justicemom) had only a few days before her account would be removed(?). So many of us have not heard a single thing from the Xanga team.

    So any way I called the phone #. No one answered, but there was a message machine with a message from John. I left a detailed message. I hope all the readers will take the trouble to call him and let him know how disappointed we are, and ask him what we are supposed to do with Xanga when we cannot get answers to our questions. The more people who call this number, the more chance there is that he will respond. I have copied all the data and am posting it here.

    I can no longer post new blogs, or go to my comments, etc. I received this message when I went to my dashboard: “It looks like your Xanga subscription expired on December 10th, 2013. Your site will remain active, but you will be unable to create, edit, or delete your blog entries.”
    I was afraid this might happen, but I couldn’t and can’t find out how to pay for the ability to be a paid member.

  • That is interesting. I think I will look into this, too. I didn't know that the help forum was still around. I guess I have been waiting for them to make some kind of move and then tell us about it.
    I made the chicken biryani the other night. I cooked it too long and the chicken was abit dry, it tasted good, and hubby liked it.

    • You know I had sent several questions through their 'help forum' but never got any reply. I am glad Eugenia is up and up on our problems. I have detailed a lot of our issues to her, I hope she will check up on them and help us out.

    I received a comment from Eugenia on my post, telling me what to do; and I was able to pay for my subscription just now, and immediately I am back in business.

    (I'd wondered about the subscription you generously 'willed' me which so far has come to naught, but didn't want to trouble you among your other more serious concerns.

    And I wonder how people can suscribe to xanga for the first time . This is worrying

    • I am glad I was able to do it. because of that, Eugenia has been able to make contact with a couple of friends who were having problems. I only wish that Xanga would be like the old Xanga, with private message options, recommend buttons and a Universal Inbox where we are alerted to different posts and lets us know who stopped by and left a comment.
