CHICAGO BOUND
Remember Sarah? She was the Family Practice Resident here in Quincy a few years back, and her internist husband at that time, had abused her so badly. So I had brought her to my home and kept her here for a couple of months, until she could get her own place near to our home. Well, she finished her residency here, and became an attending in an Urgent Care CenterĀ in Aurora IL, not too far from her parents' home in Oak Brook. She got remarried to this wonderful young engineer in 2013. And, Guess What?
They are expecting their baby in July! Tomorrow is her baby shower in Oak Brook, and they want me there. As if I would miss it. So I am leaving on the train this afternoon, and will return Sunday night. I have already sent some gifts from Buy Buy Baby , and taking something from the jewelers here. But, I am making a crib sheet that will hopefully be finished before the baby comes. They know it is a boy; the parents are ecstatic. We are thrilled about this event.
SO, I will be absent here for a couple of days. Take care.

Thrilling news!
What a marvelous turn of events! It is sad that one who should "first do no harm" chooses to be very harmful, indeed. I am glad to see the radiant looks on both their faces and even more, that you should have such a blessed role in their family's young life! Safe travels.
Wonderful on many levels including you helping her.
I love hapy endings.
