Fear
Fiction Friday. (prompt, Fear)
People have blind fear.
Is that fear blind? I think so.
Is it that fear that turns you blind?
I think so.
Can blind fear see the ravages of worry?
No it cannot, I don’t believe that.
But, can blind fear destroy?
Yes, I think it can.
Not just one, but many in the wave of such blindness!

It is so nice to see you writing and posting poetry again! Fear holds so many people hostage!
Thanks Val. Yes, I have been writing again. posting a few on xanga posts of facebook. Just been so busy Val.
Fear affects all humans. I never thought about the term 'blind fear.' I suppose blind fear blinds you to the solutions.
Blessings to you and your lovely family, Dr. Zakiah.

I agree with Frank. When the blindness passes, a face palm ensues.
Blind fear can be so crippling. People who have this morbid type of fear, hang on to it endlessly.
My mom is having lots of fears now. She's not afraid to die. In fact she wants to die. She's afraid when she's alone. She's afraid when we're with her. She's afraid to go to the dining room. She's afraid no one will help her get back to her room. She's afraid she'll have to go someplace else, and the list goes on and on. It doesn't help that she is almost completely deaf and can't hear when we try to reassure her. She probably will go to a nursing home, as soon as we can find one with space. She needs more help than they're able to do in Assisted Living. It's sad.
I am so sorry to hear that Gracia. Old age in and of itself is scary to a lot of people. Having loss of hearing is in itself such a drawback. Meanwhile you and the rest of your family, have to care and help her get over her fears.
