Bender.
Daughter Saadia and her family got a dog about six months ago. He is some kind of Alpha dog and supposedly doesn’t grow too big. (I beg to differ). He was such a tiny thing when he was brought home, and now he is five times the size. Anyway, the boys wanted a dog, and begged the parents to get one, and after searching and researching a lot they got this little puppy who is house trained and knows to obey and follows orders to some extent. After a couple of months of novelty, the boys got busy with their own things, and Saadia got attached to the pooch. I mean, head over heels in love with that cur. She takes him to the store, and her classes at the college, and he obediently sits at a desk and listens to her. Funny as heck!
I have to be honest. I don’t care for dogs too much. Especially when they jump on me, or drool all over me. Sometimes Bender (that’s his name), does that. not the drooling part but he loves to jump. He is very cute and knows that I am rather reserved with him.
Earlier last week, I was in their home and Saadi started kissing Davis. Bender got all bent out of shape that he was being ignored. He started whining and clinging on to Saadi. It was really too cool for words. You can see what I mean.
Isn’t that so cute?

So funny and sweet.
Thank you. Hope your husband is doing well.
That is so cute. I like dogs better than cats. Right now I have one of each. They're both elderly, and when they're gone I hope to not have any more. They're hard to resist when they're little and cute though.
I like cats. I can tolerate dogs if they don't drool or jump all over me.
My wife likes dogs. I lke dogs because my wife likes dogs.
I love those photos of Saadia. She is a very nice person.
You are such a romantic Frank!
That's got to be one sweet dog!!!
He is that. And you know what? He doesn't drool all over you.
Davis is almost as tall as his mother!!! Wow he has really gotten tall. Bender is just jealous. Looks like he is trying to edge Davis into second place. As much as Saadia may adore Bender I'm guessing he is unaware that he is in 4th place behind the husband and sons!!!
Neat comment Val. Today Bender was dressed like a king, with the crown and all! Saadi came over with Davis trick or treating. Ours was the first house he came to, got into the foyer, and yanked his robot costume off, saying, "I am not doing this anymore. No more trick or treating for me!" I knew that this could perhaps be the last time he will act out like a kid and go around trick or treating. But the kid doesn't eat candies; only loves to dress up like a robot, and this was the last time for that too. H says he is too big now, and too tall to do such childish things anymore!
She should have saved that money she spent ordering the costume on line! Anyway, Mr. Bender looked great as the king!
I love dogs (and honestly any animal on this earth) and from the photos I can see that Bender adores Saadia. So sweet. I believe that having a dog or any other pet when you are a kid makes you a better adult. You grow up respecting animals, much happier and learning how to be resilient at a younger age. I am happy you all have Bender in your life!
