I love the last picture. Looks like SOMEONE up there is trying to let us know what He thinks of us. No?

How Human Are We?
The Hitler of yore is still alive today. Have they
cloned that murderous trait? Beheadings, killings
of Muslims by Muslims~~ and now the genocide!Buddhists, touted as gentle peace loving people
who refrain from killing even animals, have
taken that simplicity of the great Buddha, and
converted the “holy spirit of monks” into Hitlerism.
Murders, burning of bodies, rapes
of women with and without pregnancy, and
mutilation of unborn babies! This century of genocide and ugliness
vying for historical headlines, relates the gory details
of the power of Buddhist monks,
who hide the blackness of their souls
in the folds of the so called “pure” saffron wraps!

Baby Shower
Sarah and Tameem, her husband.
There were about sixty to sixty five people at the luncheon. The food was amazing. The back yard which is huge was all done up with baby themes, hanging from trees and set up on the tables.
Sarah's mom-in-law in green, entering the home. This home of Sarah's parents is like a mini castle. Sarah's mother is standing next to her on the right.
In the gazebo in the back yard. The balloons were everywhere.
This picture was taken earlier in the morning, when the friends were setting up and doing all the manual work. All the girls either went to school/medical school/ or had done residency with her.
Needless to say, I had a blast.

CHICAGO BOUND
Remember Sarah? She was the Family Practice Resident here in Quincy a few years back, and her internist husband at that time, had abused her so badly. So I had brought her to my home and kept her here for a couple of months, until she could get her own place near to our home. Well, she finished her residency here, and became an attending in an Urgent Care Center in Aurora IL, not too far from her parents' home in Oak Brook. She got remarried to this wonderful young engineer in 2013. And, Guess What?
They are expecting their baby in July! Tomorrow is her baby shower in Oak Brook, and they want me there. As if I would miss it. So I am leaving on the train this afternoon, and will return Sunday night. I have already sent some gifts from Buy Buy Baby , and taking something from the jewelers here. But, I am making a crib sheet that will hopefully be finished before the baby comes. They know it is a boy; the parents are ecstatic. We are thrilled about this event.
SO, I will be absent here for a couple of days. Take care.

Prince Andrew Graduates
My Prince Andrew graduated from Pre-School today. It seemed like just yesterday, when he was three years old, and started his fun time at this Pre-School. Now he is five, and will go to Kindergarten in the Fall.
After he received his diploma, Andrew went back to his seat and started playing with it. It was just too cute. He kept turning and twisting the diploma round and round. I had to take that picture. The proud parents couldn't stop smiling. And Zain, well, he was running around with the wind under his wings!

Evening News
So tired of watching news of death and despair all over the world. I am a fetus in a cocoon, wanting to block everything that is sad and horrific.
My eyes wide open, look, and don’t see
the ugliness of race, the hatred of color.
What I see, I manage to hide, and I tell
myself, who cares if she is black or brown
or if he is white or nonwhite.
What should I say, and how should I cope
when I see young bodies, finger painting
mother earth with their blood? How can I
tell you the aches that stretch between a
good day and the news the media projects?
What hell to live in, to see with eyes closed
the empty spaces in your chests, where once
a warm heart lived!©ZSA May 2015.

Mother's Day.
Hope all the mothers here had a great and exciting day. Son Sayeed took the whole family out to the Country Club. Beautiful place and good food. The company was exceptional. Shelley gave me a framed picture of me with Sayeed and Andrew at the beach, when they had come to visit us in January. She had the shells that he had picked, glued to the frame. Here's a photo of that.
She is always so good in putting so much effort and thought in what she gives. Because I was under the weather, and hadn't gone out to do any kind of shopping I gave her an Hermes perfume from Saks which I had ordered for her and some facial cream from Le Prairie for Saadi. I should go to St. Louis and get the girls something special.
The pictures at the beginning of the post, show different moods and smiles. Andrew has been playing golf and mini golf, and uncle Dave is pretending to be a reporter interviewing him over the mike, (which is substituted by a spoon), and Andrew is replying to his various questions, holding the mike in his hands. It was just too darling for words.
The card with pink roses at the table is one I got from Saadi. It is a pop-up card with a bunch of beautiful roses. She said that she saw the card and knew she had to get it for me. She also got me a pair of absolutely beautiful ear rings.
And now I will show you the gift I gave myself. I love hoops for my ears. So I went and got them at my jewelers. He had to adjust the post a little, and he did it, and brought it home yesterday afternoon, and made me wear it to see if it needed further adjustment. I felt guilty (initially) about spending that kind of money, but then thought, "oh what the heck, I deserve it."
Hope all of you had a great day. Mine was especially nice.

I have had so many kind comments and good wishes for my health. I thank you, one and all, for this love. I am feeling much better. I will be seeing a specialist on Wednesday, and he might want me to get some extra testing done. meanwhile, I am up and about, and for the first time in about a week, I drove the car and went up to my jewelers to get myself a Mothers Day gift-- yeah for myself! I think I deserve it. heh heh!
To all the mothers on xanga, I wish you a very Happy Mother's Day. Hope your day is full of love and laughter.

Under the Weather.
Chills, fever, body aches, sweaty... you would think I had the flu, no? I started myself on Tamiflu. I know, I know, I shouldn't treat myself. The anti viral didn't help me. So forced myself to go to the doctor this morning. Got a different diagnosis. He's started me on Antibiotics.
For the first time since Saturday evening, I was able to eat some soft boiled rice with mint chutney this evening. Until I feel really good, please don't expect me to post anything here. I am headed to bed now, (7:30 pm). I am so tired and so exhausted. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
Take care of yourselves. Love you all, a lot.
